Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli’s challenge was to try and infuse couture into the traditions of menswear with their Valentino Fall 2012 Collection. Pitti Uomo in Florence was the stage for their offerings which was an extended celebration of sorts, as it was the 15th anniversary of Valentino staging his first fashion show in the very same city. I am kinda question the silhouette of the jackets; however, the fabric is excellant.
Depending on where you live varies whats the most important thing to do. For the Italians, getting dressed every morning is the most important thing to do. Judging from their looks, it shows! There is nothing better than seeing people look their best! These folks do it so well, I have to simply shake my head because they do with such swag! Fashion is more than just a label or trend, but a way of life! Our livlihood is determined based on what we rock on a everyday basis.
The best place to do so is at Pitti Uomo. For those who are not aware of Pitti Uomo, its a tradeshow geared those menswear (fashion heaven if you ask me). Many stylish men come there view new fashion projects, new brands, and present a range of special events. If this place is not the mecca of menswear, then I don’t know what is.
